Dear Friends of GBEF:
This past year has been
one of growth and growing pains for the GBEF. As we enter our third year in existence we have many things to be proud of,
as well as many things still to accomplish.
We have very much appreciated
your help and support in the past 12 months and can look back on some spectacular accomplishments, including a wonderful 2nd
Annual GBEF Golf Outing this past June, thanks to the hard work of Carolyn McFadden and Frank Mercuri,
and our first ever GBEF 5K Run, expertly planned and executed by board member Mary Beth
Johnson. Both events raised significant money for the foundation, and had the value added bonus of being great fun!
Our Arts in the
Green program gave us the opportunity to seek and receive our first ever grant monies, from the Somerset County Cultural
and Historical Commission. We are so grateful to Tori Clemens and her team for all of their hard work putting on some wonderful
shows for the community.
As we look ahead to 2006,
we will again be focusing our efforts on innovative fundraising, with particular emphasis placed on the middle school auditorium
renovation. Look for our upcoming fundraising appeals, in addition to the 2nd GBEF 5K Run
on May 6, 2006 our 3rd Annual Golf Outing on June 27th, 2006.
Finally, we have several
openings on our board of directors. If you are interested in working with an organization that values creative approaches
to fundraising, please visit our website at www.gbef.org for more information.
Thank you for your continuing
support of GBEF’s endeavors.
Sincerely,
The GBEF Board of Directors
